System Requirements
Accessing MergeBoard
The device you are using to access MergeBoard needs to fulfill the following requirements:
- Device Type
Desktop or Laptop device
While you might be able to use MergeBoard on mobile devices with a large enough screen in landscape mode, e.g. tablets, it is not yet officially supported.
- Browser
The latest two major versions of the following browsers:
Google Chrome / Chromium
Firefox
Microsoft Edge
Safari
- Operating System
Any operating system that can run one of the supported browsers.
- Screen Resolution
At least 1280x1024 pixels at 96dpi.
- Input Method
Mouse/Keyboard
Touch based input should work, but is not yet officially supported.
- RAM
At least 300MB of free memory.
- CPU
At least 1.6 GHz.
- Network Connection
At least 1 MBit/s up/down.
Hosting MergeBoard
To host MergeBoard yourself, your system must meet the requirements below.
Please note that the requirements mainly depend on how many users should be able to use MergeBoard at the same time. The following information refers to an instance with up to 10 users.
- Operating System
Any operating system that supports running Docker containers. We recommend using a Linux environment (e.g., Debian).
- RAM
At least 8 GB of free memory.
- CPU
At least 4 cores with 2 Ghz each.
- Network Connection
At least 16 MBit/s up/down.
To receive notifications about updates, an Internet connection is recommended.
